Today we are in the countryside near Goito, in the Province of Mantua, at the Latteria Goitese dairy, where preparations are underway for its 50th anniversary celebrations.
The idea is to hold mass with all the members and friends of the dairy, have a blessing of the premises and then have dinner at the dairy.
This great milestone is the product of the hard work and sacrifice of so many people, but also a source of great satisfaction because today the dairy is still going strong and has major expansion plans.
Massimo Dalzini is proud to be the president of this organization and is happy to see that the new generations want to carry on working in the dairy.
“It’s not something we can take for granted because it’s a tough job. And that applies not only to the production side of things, but also to the work in the fields and the dairy farms.”
The dairy currently produces 134 wheels of Grana Padano per day but the idea is to expand in the near future, which is why work has begun on the construction of a new ageing storehouse and in the last few years they have built a new brining facility with greater capacity.
All this work has been approached with an eye on new technologies and energy saving.
