Anuga 2023
Grana Padano will be present at the 103rd edition of ANUGA in the AFIDOP (Association of Italian PDO cheeses) collective with the consortia of Taleggio, Asiago, Gorgonzola and Mozzarella di Bufala in an area of 188sq.m., in hall 10.1, stand no. G060-F061.
International and exciting, Anuga is the biennial world’s leading Food & Beverage trade fair. In the 2021 edition, the first since the pandemic, there were more than 70,000 visitors from 200 countries with over 4,600 exhibitors from 98 nations.
The Consortium will offer cheese tastings of Grana Padano aged 16 months and Riserva over 24 month and will have a reserved area for the hospitality of members and clients.
Tasting activities will be organised for the 5 cheeses (TBD):
- 8 October: show cooking by chef Domenico Gentile, author of Germany’s best-selling Italian cookbook. 5 delicious recipes, one for each cheese, will be presented.
- 9 October: at 11.30 a.m., Storytelling and Tasting of PDO Cheeses with Laura Melara-Dürbeck, journalist and delegate of the Italian Academy of Cuisine in Frankfurt, will lead us on a fascinating journey to discover the history and culture of Italian PDO cheeses.
- 10 October:
– At 12 am, Andi Schweiger, our Chef Ambassador in Ger will host a show-cooking just for Grana Padano.
– At 2.30 pm, there will be a wine-cheese pairing with journalist and sommelier Claudia Stern, who will explain the best combinations with Lombard wines from the As.Co.Vi.Lo association.
On 9 October, Chef Andi Schweiger will be present at the event that the Consorzio Grana Padano and As.Co.Vi.Lo (Association of Lombardy Wine Consortia) are organising at the Rheinloft, Köln, as part of the ‘Born to be together’ project. He will host a show cooking dedicated to Grana Padano. After this, the chef and the two influencers Felicitas Then and Janine Fischer will compete for the title of Germany’s Tastemaker 2023, by using a few chosen ingredients and one of their choice.
